The WVN-500 hone is constructed in two pieces. For instance, it consists of the honing section and the work-holding section. The hone section is made from welded structural tubing with excellent rigidity. On the top of this section there is a base that supports the honing head, and displacement guides that move the hone head back and forth.

Operations

The hone head inline movement is driven electronically. For example, the hone head rotation turns through a variable reducing motor that allows the hone head to cover the 1.58” – 32” honing range. Further, the R.P.M change is performed manually. Additionally, the hone head expansion is performed electronically by a motor and reducer directly from the control panel. There are two steady-rests, one of which is fixed at the end of the table, and the other that is adjustable to help support the work piece

Features

The WVN-500 is known for its quick and easy setup and operation. It also features a touch screen operation panel, axial stroke and speed regulated from panel, and fast taper correction. Further, this is a low noise honing machine with a high axial and rotation torque to decrease time. Its high precision electro-mechanical expansion system is driver controlled and comes with an easy tube clamping device.

Standard Tooling

The control box is located in the center of the machine, in which the height and orientation makes it easy to access. The machine runs on an automatic preset timer cycle. This machine includes custom software tailored for your application. Standard equipment included in the WVN-500 are filters and honing oil.
